Kingswood Explorers Swamp the Opposition at Rickard Shield With 10 teams from Kingswood entered in this year’s County Rickard Shield competition it is perhaps no surprise that we we had some of the top places! DES 3 came within a whisker of winning but were squeezed into 2nd place (and gained the Avon Scouts salver for the 2nd year running) by a team of extraordinarily tall lads from Baracuda from Backwell. Marvel 3 came 5th putting in the fastest course time on the night. 2 29w only just missed out on a top 10 place and Mystery put in a comfortable mid-table performance. Nearly 50 Explorers from Kingswood (over half our membership!) turned up on a damp night to compete in the annual 11 mile night navigation competition. Congratulations to all of you!
