When Can I Start?

You can start Explorers from 14 but, with your Scout Leader’s agreement, you can start linking from 13½. So you should consider making contact with one of our units soon. Either come along one evening or contact one of the leaders below. I know sometimes it’s a bit difficult walking into a room of people that you don’t know but I’m sure you’ll know some Explorers already they are a really friendly crowd. Better still, why not try and persuade your other friends (boys & girls) who were never in scouts to come along, many Explorers were never members of a scout or guide troop.

Joining Explorer Scouts needn’t mean losing contact with your old Scout Group. We actively encourage members to get involved in helping out Beavers, Cubs & Scouts through the Young Leader Scheme.
